Look-Up DOT Numbers (SAFER)

Need to check a carrier’s public FMCSA record? Use the official SAFER Company Snapshot. You can search by USDOT number, MC/MX number, or company name.

What to check

1. Open the Company Snapshot and choose the search option you have.
2. Compare the legal name and USDOT number with the company you meant to find. Similar names can belong to different carriers.
3. Review the public identification, inspection, crash, and safety-rating fields that appear in the snapshot. Check the page’s update dates before relying on a figure.
